# Gantt Chart in Reporting Module

Hey,

Has anyone here successfully built a Gantt chart in the reporting module? I was able to build one in Perspective using the XY chart’s ‘series\[x]\column\open’ properties, but now the client wants a report to go along with the web interface.

I don’t really see any properties in the default XY or Bar Chart reporting components that would allow them to achieve Gantt-like functionality; would it be possible to use the chart configuration script to build and return a Gantt typed JFreeChart object? I’m not too comfortable with the ‘J’ part of Jython, so some validation that this is possible would be nice before I spend a bunch of time on something futile.
