I get a lot of errors regarding gateway connections that go bad. (ping failed)
Our IT department never see any problem on their systems (rptg, server monitoring, switch monitoring, ...) regarding network errors.

So, how can I diagnose this further so I can assure IT that the problem is the network or the problem is something else.

Any help/insights?

A way to diagnose these errors further would be to inspect a Wireshark capture, [here](https://support.inductiveautomation.com/hc/en-us/articles/6346064943373-Wireshark-Basics) is a KBA on how to take one in case you are not familiar. If you're having trouble taking one or unable to make sense of the capture, I recommend reaching out to our [Support Department](https://inductiveautomation.com/support/home/) so that someone can walk you through it.
