# Gateway Restart Log

Hi, is there a way to log or for example send an notification email when gateway restart occurs?

Gateway shutdown and startup events are logged to Audit Profile if you’ve defined one in _Config-\>Security_ under the _Gateway Audit Profile_ setting.
