# Gateway Timer Scripts in Children Projects

I want to make a gateway timer script in a base project, but that project is inherited by others. I don't want the gateway timer script to be repeated in all of the children projects (at least I don't want it to run from in all the children projects). I just need it to run in one instance. Is there a nice way to make that happen other than only putting the timer script in one child project, or overriding all of the children projects I don't want the timer script in?

If you're on 8.1, no.  
In 8.3 you have an option to "migrate" your resources to a 'split' format, where they're individually overridable/inheritable (literally one resource per timer script, for instance) _and_ individually enable-able.
