Hello everyone,

I would appreciate it if somebody could help.

We are currently running Ignition version 7.7.10 and are looking to upgrade to the latest version, 8.1.49. Can this upgrade be performed directly, without any breaking changes, by backing up the gateway from version 7.7.10 and restoring it to version 8.1.49? Or do I need to upgrade through an intermediate version first and then migrate to 8.1.49?

Our design is simple: we have only one project built in Vision, and it is connected to a single device (PLC).

Thank you!

It’s supposed to work, but I think some people would go to 7.9 first, then 8.1.

No harm in trying though?
