# Gateway webpage incrementing URL param number?

I’ve always meant to ask this question: Regarding the gateway webpages, why is there a number incremented in the webpage param each time you nav to new pages?  
e.g.

This is just some Wicket (our backend framework currently used for the web UI) thing.

Nothing we’re consciously doing. I think it’s _supposed_ to help Wicket keep track of your state as you navigate around between pages, but knowing Wicket, it’s probably not great at doing so.
