Hi everyone,

I have two questions regarding the Ignition gateway network and would appreciate any insights.

1. **Auditing journal on local and remote gateway:**
I’m trying to configure my auditing journal profile to write to both my local and remote gateway. From what I’ve tried, i wanted to achieve this via direct configuration by setting up a **remote auditing journal** on the local gateway using store and forward. Additionally, I tried to configure the project settings in the Designer to use the remote audit journal. I thought that this setup allows logs to be stored in the local database while also forwarding them to the remote gateway. However, it did not work like i wanted.

- Can someone confirm if there is a way to achieve this through direct configuration?

1. **Filtering alarm journal profiles by remote gateway:**
I have multiple remote gateways, and I want to filter each gateway’s alarms so that they are logged in their respective journal profiles. I attempted to use the **Filter Source** field by entering the gateway name, but this resulted in no data being received.

- Does the **Alarm Source** refer to the gateway name, or is it refering to the source column from the alarm events table?

- If so, what’s the correct way to filter each alarm journal profile to ensure it only logs alarms from its corresponding remote gateway?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Have you tried using a wildcard character before and after the gateway name?

Filter by Alarm Source should be \*GATEWAY\_NAME\_1\* this is because the alarm source is usually a long string that identifies the gateway name plus other things about the alarm.

I just tried it, works perfectly for the alarm journal. Thank you!
