# Having issues with CountOn

First off, I am EXTREMELY new to Ignition/Python. I'm just trying to copy the work of a predecessor who built an alarm screen for our machines. If I copy a label that's working as a counter, and put my new tag I made in the ControlLogix controller that it's looking at, it reads "null". Nothing else, that I can see, is changing, but somehow I can turn a working label into the opposite. It's just pulling from a boolean output, and I don't understand why I'm having a hard time with something that seems so simple. The first picture is the working label I copied, the second is after I put my new tag in.

Figured it out, I didn't have the storage provider in the tag set up. Oops!
