# How to get SecurityPolicy and Whitelist from gateway network settings?

Currently I am getting the SecurityPolicy and Whitelist using the static fields on [GatewayNetworkProperties](https://sdk.inductiveautomation.com/javadoc/ignition83/8.3.6/com/inductiveautomation/ignition/gateway/gan/GatewayNetworkProperties.html) . The javadocs say to use with WSChannelSettingsResource to get the properties and I don't understand how I would get a reference to WSChannselSettingsResource to begin using it to get these values?
