# How to trigger an action when a new record is created?

I have a page in Ignition Gateway with the default Create, edit and delete buttons. I want to trigger an method when the Create button is clicked (when the new record is created in database). So, I basically need a “ **RecordListener”,** something like that.

From your record meta you can add a listener:
