Where is the Vendor Name pulled from in 8.3?
I'm guessing my self-signed signing certs are missing something.

I noticed this with my Modbus module this weekend as well... guess I should take a look and see if I can figure out why.

Ugh, worst case confirmed. It's a hardcoded switch, and not even a good one that would prevent somebody from "spoofing" the vendor name. This is why I didn't want to go looking 🤦‍♂️

(ticket made...)

Cool, thanks. I'll table this for now.

Check out my comment [here](https://forum.inductiveautomation.com/t/custom-vendor-name/110525/5). If self signing your own certificates, I’ve found that updating the Common Name (CN) will update the Vendor Name in Ignition gateway on 8.3
