# \[IGN-15605\] Protected Resources Cause Sync Error on Redundant Systems

I was setting up a server with redundancy to start doing development, and we have some resources that are protected. I kept getting a sync error on the sync status, so dug into it and it looks like if you set any resource as Protected, it will break the sync. Once I removed all the protections and forced a resync, everything kept in sync just fine. If I added protection back, it would break again. Seems like a bug, or is anyone else able to replicate this?

I was running v8.3.4

Thanks again for reporting this! Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the fix will be included in the next nightly build, and should be included with the 8.3.5 release.
