# \[IGN-8597\] Perspective Table Filter Placeholder Text

Is there a way to edit the placeholder text for the text field that appears on the perspective table when filtering is enabled?

I added a property called `placeholder` under the `filter` property but nothing changed.  
Any suggestions?

It doesn't look like there is a way to change that text at this time. I've opened a feature request to add such a `placeholder` property to the `filter` object.

8.1 is only receiving bug fixes going forward. Any new content (features) would go into 8.3, or - more likely - 2027.02.
