# Ignition 7.6 and smtp.office365.com

Unfortunately in the [other cases I’ve seen this](https://forum.inductiveautomation.com/t/14945-email-still-using-tlsv1/28051) here and in support the ultimate resolution has required upgrading to 7.9.18 or 8.x which have special options on the email notification profile to force the use of TLS 1.2.
