I have a gateway that is 7.9.2. (continuation from my [last topic](https://forum.inductiveautomation.com/t/ignition-7-9-and-java-install/104462))

I am having an issue launching the jnlp because of the expired cert.

I've tried adding the gateway's IP to the Java security exception list but the application still fails to execute (`java.security.cert.CertificateException: java.security.cert.CertPathValidatorException: OCSP response error: MALFORMED_REQUEST `)

I found another post that mentioned upgrading to the latest version of 7.9.
So, the next question: is that upgrade free if I have a 7.9.2 license? If yes, that's because it's a minor revision?

Yeah, you can upgrade to 7.9.21 or whatever the last release was, for free.

FWIW, I think this is probably something on the network you're on interfering.

But you'd be better off in the long term upgrading and then using the native client launcher instead.
