# Ignition 8.1 Bug - Component/View Drag and Drop Freezing Designer

Hi,

We are running into a problem where, on occasion, when we drag and drop a component or a view into another view, the designer will freeze up preventing further progression and losing some work. It will show the “not allowed” mouse icon over the designer, and eventually shows the “loading” mouse icon but never stops or returns to normal. This is similar to a previous bug where clicking something “weirdly”, like clicking both left/right mouse buttons in the designer freezes the designer.

Is this a known issue or am I somehow triggering this?
