Hi Experts,

I’m using **Ignition 8.3** with the following setup:

- **Edge Gateway** collecting PLC data

- **Central Gateway** with **PostgreSQL** as the historian (`Postgres_Historian`)

- Gateways are connected through a **trusted Gateway Network**

The **Edge tags** are visible in the **Central Gateway Designer** , but when I enable history for them, I **can’t select** the `Postgres_Historian` storage provider.

Tags created locally in the **Central Gateway** historize fine, but **Edge tags do not** store history.

This setup **worked perfectly in Ignition 8.1** , so I believe I may be **missing some configuration** in 8.3.

Any guidance on what changed or needs to be adjusted in 8.3 to historize Edge tags would be appreciated.

Hi!

I have not tried 8.3 yet, but have you checked your settings on both side: config \> security \> service security \> default

And

On the edge gateway \> config \> data sync \> settings

Is the Remote History Provider name correct and Remote History Sync Enabled (it is false by default)?

Under data sync \> overview you should see that the sync counter is increasing (when you refresh).
