# Ignition Designer-Maker Edition- drag component into container-not allowed

Hello!  
I am new with Igntion. Iam using Ignition Designer Maker Edition(non commercial to to familiarize myself with the platform. I would like to drag Perspective component into container-example Gauge (view-\>root), but it is not allowed. What I am doing wrong?

If you are running linux, there’s a bug related to that.

Is there a work around or another method to add a component?

You should still be able to click and place rather than drag n drop.
