Hi I was just wondering if anyone has developed a ad-Hoc trend for Edge on vision

Cheers

Paul

Have you tried this one?

Do note that the Ad-hoc trending package expects there to be a database into which setups can be saved. You'd have to replace those parts with local filesystem operations in Edge.

Hi sorry for delayed response, not sure how to edit the database for edge historian I don’t think it will work. It also needs a DB for annotation on trend which I would like but this is not available in edge.

Any ideas?

Use local files instead of databases. Edge doesn't have and doesn't permit database operations. (You will need to re-engineer every part of the adhoc trends that look up options and user settings in the DB.)

How would you approach this? Would you set up a database on the edge machine and access that file directly instead of through a database connection in edge?

No, you don't set up a database for use with Edge. You use some other file format (JSON, perhaps) to hold chart settings. That's what I mean by "re-engineer" in my previous comment.

If you don't have a programmer who understands this, perhaps you should not use Edge.
