Hello. I am using ignition version 8.0.16. Ignition designer has around 20,000 tags and my vision client keeps freezing sometimes. When this happens, I am going to device connections and click on edit and save. This resumes the client again. Could anyone help me how to resolve this.
Thank you.

I’m not sure if this will resolve your problem or not, but consider upgrading to the 8.1.1+. It resolved multiple stability issues we were having with 8.0.16–among them clients getting stuck with red overlays after a connection loss (even after reconnected).

Are there any notable logs on the gateway during the time of the event?

What kind of device is Ignition communicating with? Also, when you say that the Vision client “freezes”, I’m assuming that you’re just talking about the values coming from this particular device?

I am communicating with Allen Bradley Logix Driver.

Yes I am looking for the values coming from Allen Bradley Logix Driver PLC

It sounds similar to the issue covered here: [PLC using Logix Driver goes "Idle"](http://forum.inductiveautomation.com/t/plc-using-logix-driver-goes-idle/18505/47)

There are a few things you can try to mitigate the issue. One thing I found to help was to increase the number of concurrent requests for the device (in the settings for the device connection). Ultimately, upgrading to 8.0.17 includes a fix for the issue discussed in the thread.

Thank You! I will try upgrading. But my device shows “Connected” every time.
