Hello Everyone, I'm trying to get data from another site of my company but there is a doubt about licences. All of my sites are in the same network and I want to get data from every plant to a centralized Ignition Gateway Server. Is it possible to use only 1 Ignition licence or is it mandatory to get my main ignition gateway and purchase 1 extra license for every site?

Every instance of the Ignition gateway needs a license.

Talk to your sales rep to discuss your options.

Technically, you could poll tags from the other sites via your VPN or whatever network you have in place, but it's not a recommended architecture. It will get you by in a pinch though. If you're just doing data collection from the remote sites with no HMI interface for them locally, you could get by with Edge licenses at each site and push that data via remote tag providers or MQTT to the central Ignition system.

Several ways to go about it, but need to know more information to help recommend one architecture over another.

Understood, I will use a .json to get the data from the other sites, this means that I will need a Ignition edge as a minimum.

If you're pulling data via JSON...is this via an API? If so, no Ignition Edge licenses needed.
