# Ignition lost connection with Rockwell emulate and will not reconnect

I have had my rockwell emulator connected for a couple of weeks with no issues and today I cannot get it to connect. I am running my gateway and the rockwell software on my local PC. when I go to the device connections on my gateway the status says ReconnectWait. Any help would be appreciated.

I recommend reading through [this post](https://forum.inductiveautomation.com/t/opc-to-emulate-still-looking-for-answers/80088) - connecting to Logix Emulate can be an ordeal. Note that I haven't gone through the effort myself, so I can't give much more info

It's not an ordeal, it's rather simple. To narrow down the previous topic link, check Phil's step by,

I've seen Emulate get hosed a time or two, so maybe run back through everything, perhaps remove a controller and add back.
