I have a customer that made this request. They want no traffic on port 8088 for security reasons. Is there a way to channel all Ignition activity through port 8043?

I turned off the Windows firewall to test, and I found out that the program still uses the 8088 port:

Proto Local Address Foreign Address State
TCP 10.210.11.220:62135 dcpspeview:8043 ESTABLISHED
TCP 10.210.11.220:62289 dcpspeview:8043 TIME\_WAIT
TCP 10.210.11.220:62291 dcpspeview:8043 TIME\_WAIT
TCP 10.210.11.220:62298 dcpspeview:8043 ESTABLISHED
TCP 10.210.11.220:62301 dcpspeview:8088 ESTABLISHED

Ian: Is there a way to force the software to use only the secure port ?

This is not possible in 7.9, unfortunately - some resources are always downloaded over the HTTP port during vision client launch.
This is going to change in 8.0, however.
