I successfully connected to the PostgreSQL database after installing both Ignition and PostgreSQL 17. However, after some time, the connection was lost and PostgreSQL started showing a connection timeout error. It no longer accepts the same password as before.

I tried every possible method to reset the password, but the issue persists — it still shows a connection timeout. Even after reinstalling PostgreSQL, I continue to face the same problem.

Has anyone else experienced a similar issue?

Connection timeout is typically a network error, not a credentials error. Something changed in your network.
