How can we easily management or sync images between multiple gateways. Sending projects between gateways using EAM works well but the projects reference images that do not get sent to gateways. Is there a way to easily manage this without exporting and importing into every gateway manually?

If you're running 8.3:

> [@Export images from image management](https://forum.inductiveautomation.com/t/export-images-from-image-management/66037/11):

> As of Ignition 8.3, images are stored under: \<Ignition Installation Root\>/data/config/resources/core/ignition/images This folder contains a folder for each image, each folder is named after the image. Alongside the original image, the folder also contains a configuration json file with image metadata.

Will Ignition automatically pick-up the new images in this location or is there additional steps that need to be take?

We've implemented a system to synchronize the images between our development gateway and the production gateways.

I can see the new images are in the correct location but are not appearing in the image management tool or in the project when referenced.

You will need to trigger a gateway configuration scan, which you can do from the gateway web UI. Ignore the stuff about 'deployment modes' here:
