# Import vision template from 8 to 7.9

Hello,

I am trying to export a vision template from Ignition 8.1 and import it in Ignition 7.9

If I try to export it from 8.1 it exports a zip folder, but then the import in 7.9 requires a proj file, not a zip  
I tried to import the zip but this is the error shown by Ignition

is there a way to complete this activity?

Going backwards with versions is not supported. Due to changes in the underlying code, I would not expect it to work, even if you could trick the packaging to think it was the older version.
