# Increasing Designer Memory More than 4.0 GB

hi everyone,

Is there anyway to increase the designer memory more than 4 GB? the max memory available in gateway setting for designer is 4 GB

Yes, it´s possible to do by changing gateway memory allocation here is the link to the solution.

No, that changes the memory for the Ignition Gateway, not for Designers.

Thanks for trying to be helpful, but this advice is wrong.
