I've downloaded the install .exe for 64 bit, but it will not install. I see the splash screen, but nothing else happens. Any suggestions? ---

You'll have to provide quite a bit more information for anyone to be able to provide any help. Start off with the version of OS you are installing on, anything you have tried to get the install to work, any errors you have received with full stack trace formatted as preformatted text (See [How to post Code](https://forum.inductiveautomation.com/t/wiki-how-to-post-code-on-this-forum/77831)) Along with that, get a copy of the install log, which should be located at `C:\Users\user\.ignition\install\install.log` if you are on windows. (someone more familiar with linux please post the default location for linux) Either upload it here as preformatted text or as a zip file if its too much text. Window 10 Pro 64 bit. No errors. Nothing happens except seeing the splash screen. In your case either `E` or `E&I`. In `\Users\user\.ignition\` part of the path `user` would be replaced with the logged in username. Anything in windows event viewer? Any antivirus installed that may be intercepting the installer? ---

I wonder if a command line installation would show anything interesting in the console: [Command Line Installations | Ignition User Manual](https://docs.inductiveautomation.com/docs/8.1/getting-started/installing-and-upgrading/command-line-installations#example-commands) I also wonder if that user name is causing issues...
