# Installing Ignition on headless linux

Hello,

I was trying to install ignition in a Headless Linux , this link [Installing and Upgrading Ignition - Ignition User Manual 8.1 - Ignition Documentation](https://docs.inductiveautomation.com/display/DOC81/Installing+and+Upgrading+Ignition) suggested downloading it from the download page ([Current Ignition Release | Inductive Automation](https://inductiveautomation.com/downloads/ignition/8.1.35)) , the problem is we cannot download the files without providing the valid information. I downloaded the file to my local machine , and fetched via wget from my machine. there has to be some simpler way. please suggest or update the docs ?

Sure you can, you just have to pass a `Referer` header:
