# Intelligent Code Completion

I’m trying to find out how to enable code completion. I search this forum and found another topic where it was suggested to put system. and on the period it would suggest what was in that module (like other code completion IDE software). However, I cannot seem to get this to work. Any suggestions? Nothing ever pops up on making new scripts.

Press CTRL-Space to bring up the completion window after you type in the period.

Thank you. I searched the forums for “scripting completion” instead of “code completion” and found this helpful shortcut after posting this question.Sorry about the duplicate.

doesnt work in the 8.0.16

What are you trying to auto-complete? It only works with Ignition’s built-in `system.*` functions (for now).
