Hello,

I need to interface with a Melexis PTC04 programmer. The manufacturer provides a Windows COM API with methods to read, write, program, and test with the programmer.

I’m wondering what the best path of integration is for this. I saw JACOB being used to call COM functions from Ignition in some old threads, but I am not sure how reliable this would be.

Another potential option is using external software, such as a Python or LabVIEW and interfacing them with Ignition via OPC-UA.

Thanks,

Cade
