What are some possible options to call SendMessage from an external application? ---

As in, you’re trying to invoke an action on the gateway from an external source? I would recommend looking at the [WebDev](https://docs.inductiveautomation.com/display/DOC79/WebDev) module - it allows you to create your own `GET`/`POST`/etc endpoints that trigger gateway scoped scripts. ---
