# Is it possible to change the History table default varchar(255) "stringvalue" to something larger?

Is it possible to change the History table default varchar(255) size for the “stringvalue” column to something larger?

I’m sure I can do this manually, but I would like all the partition tables that get created automatically by the Gateway History settings to use the larger “stringvalue” column size also.

I am using Ignition v7.9.2
