# Is it possible to hide a text field entry?

Is there any way to hide a text field entry as it is being typed in? Like how passwords are represented as all asteriks or black dots. The only way I have found to do this is to make the color of the text match the background of the text field entry, but you can still see the letters when you highlight the text

Is there a reason why you can't use the _Password Field_ component?
