# Is there a way to Find & Replace on selected components only?

I’m trying to replace tag references in a selected number of components without having to go through all components on a particular window. Right now, Find & Replace lists all components that match the search, rather than only the selected components that match. I’ve made a bunch of components, set up linking, then copied and pasted those items, so now I need to replace the tags only on the newly pasted components.

Cool, thanks. I guess I’ll wait. I tried to up-vote this idea (it’s at 37 now), but the link just showed “Redirecting to Ignition Features and Ideas…” and hung - yet another thing to fix.
