Just wanted to give a brief shout out to whoever there at Inductive works on the Installer packaging (Windows version). I hadn’t worked on Ignition in a while so when I went to download the 8.3 installer and saw it was up to 1.2 GB (used to be ~400MB back a few years ago)…I was worried it might be on the same bloat train as Rockwell. I didn’t time it exactly, but when I went to run it, I was very pleasantly surprised to see that the Gateway installer was still crazy fast, definitely less than a minute, I think maybe even \<30 seconds. So in an age where the v36 Studio5000 installer is 13GB and takes an hour to install, I wanted to thank whoever there at Inductive works on this for valuing all our time and keeping it streamlined.

I think the size bloat is mostly Java runtimes, Native Launchers, and JXBrowser binaries.
