# Linking to PDF on HMI server

I am trying to link to a pdf file that is located on the Ignition HMI server.

I have the PDF viewer configured to the file path on the server, but I get a message that says

"Error loading ###.pdf  
Filenotfoundexception C:/docs/###.pdf (The system cannot find the path specified)

If i copy the PDF file to the same filepath on the client, then the document opens up.

How can I link it to the file on the HMI server, so that each client does not have to have a copy on their computer?
