Hi,

We have developed a [Teltonika Alarm Notification module](https://marketplace.operametrix.com/module/teltonika/) at OperaMetrix, an alarm notification profile that sends SMS through Teltonika routers. The next release will add **voice calls**. We have successfully end-to-end tested it using a RUT955. Before we ship it we would like to expand our tests to other Teltonika models. We are reaching out to the community for Ignition users looking to leverage on-premise voice calls using Teltonika hardware.

**Why a call, and not just an SMS**

An SMS waits to be noticed. A ringing phone demands a decision right now, and that difference is the whole point when an alarm fires at 3 a.m.

- A call interrupts. It rings, it vibrates, it keeps going, and it shows up as a missed call if nobody picks up. An SMS joins the queue of notifications an operator will read eventually
- Acknowledging happens in the moment. One keypress, during the call

**What it does**

A notification block can place a spoken text-to-speech call instead of sending an SMS. The message is the same evaluated alarm text an SMS would carry, synthesized on the router itself, in the language of your choice (currently English, German, Spanish, French or Italian).

The _With Reply_ notification block option lets the recipient acknowledge the alarm during the call with a single keypress.

As always, everything stays on-premise and on the cellular link: no internet and no third-party account.

**What you need to take part**

- Ignition 8.3.0 or later
- A Teltonika router and a SIM that can place voice calls (worth checking since plenty of M2M data plans cannot)

**Test procedure**

- Installation of the voice call package on your Teltonika device
- Installation of the Teltonika Alarm Notification Module in Ignition
- Teltonika notification profile creation
- Test alarm notification pipeline creation
- Test tag alarm trigger
- Receiving the call and acknowledging the alarm

If you are interested, send me a message and we will schedule a session where I will get you the beta build and walk you through the test procedure. Happy to answer questions about any feature of the module here.

This is definitely of interest. We don't have a spare Teltonika sitting around though. But we have some customers that could put this to use if it all works out well.

Noted, thanks. Would it be possible to share the references of the Teltonika routers used?

We've deployed RUT241 in recent years and been happy with it. Being able to remote notify from Ignition sounds like a sweet perk.

Well.. looked in my office this morning and realized we do have a spare RUT241 on the shelf. So we'd be interested in testing this out.
