Did some forum searching, and it's been a long time since there were any posts about this. Anyone out there using MariaDB Galera Cluster with redundant gateways?

Looking at options for native (dB handled) replication. Currently using a pair of MySql servers with History Splitter to write to both, but they end up out of sync during shutdowns. Would much rather use something native.

I looked into using Galera but decided on a master-master sync using MariaDB replication. This has been rock-solid and avoids the out of sync you are taking about. The good thing about this is that it does not need the complicated set up that Galera needs.
