# Memory allocation for Ignition Designer

Although I have chaned the memory allocation of the gateway from 2GB to 3GB but still it didn’t affect the memory of the designer. Is there any other settings to do so?

Designer memory is configured separately, in an area of the Gateway config: [Gateway Settings | Ignition User Manual](https://docs.inductiveautomation.com/docs/8.3/platform/gateway/web-interface/platform/gateway-settings#launch-settings)
