# Memory tags not updating in Ignition perspective client

I am trying to create a Perspective view in which I have a label that is populated by a memory tag's value (which is a string) upon pressing a button. This woks fine when in Design preview, but when I launch a Perspective session, neither the label nor the tag is not updating when I press the button. Can someone help?
