# Move tags to a different tag provider with Historical data

I have a lot of tags in the default tag provider most with Historical data for about a year. I would like to move them into a different tag provider and keep the Historical data with it. I moved them and lost all the data. I was using a test setup.

I have to blackout the names, but this is screen shot of a historical tag tree.

The old historical data in the gw01:default and the new historical data in the other one. Is the any way to move them but keep the data in the same location?
