I found this in the [Cirrus Link forum](https://forum.cirrus-link.com/). Perhaps you can find the information you need here.

I have the same question. I would like a tag that shows the connection status of an MQTT edge device.

I have a single MQTT edge device (Weintek HMI). This is communicating with the MQTT engine module in Ignition (AWS EC2 hosted).

There is a tag called "online" in the MQTT engine tags. This stays true when I unplug the device from the network. The tag briefly goes false only during reconnection of the device. Example path shown below.

[MQTT Engine]//Node Info/online.

Please can someone point me in the direction of a status tag that works?

Cheers

edit. My issue is the same as this.

I thought I would start here on the IA forum, to get feedback from people that may have solved what I am looking to achieve. We are using V8.1.35 on both server and edge nodes with IIOT. TX V4.0.20.
