# MQTT Distributor and Engine Module for Ignition Edge

I'm trying to connect a device to **Ignition Edge** using the **MQTT Distributor module**. Based on the module overview page, this should be possible, especially since there are download options for Edge-specific versions of the modules.

After installing the modules, only the **MQTT Transmission** module functions as expected. Both the **MQTT Engine** and **MQTT Distributor** modules show the message:

"Not eligible for use with Ignition Edge, unless licensed."

This is confusing because my license includes **all Edge Services** , except for **Ignition Edge Panel**. Despite this, the Engine and Distributor modules do not appear to be working.

Also, on the module overview page, I see there are specific versions listed:

- Cirrus Link MQTT Distributor Module for Ignition Edge
- Cirrus Link MQTT Engine Module for Ignition Edge

**Is there a way to get the MQTT Engine and Distributor modules working on Ignition Edge with my current license? Or is an additional license required despite having Edge Services enabled?**

Edge IIoT only includes Transmission; if you want the extra functionality of the additional modules you need to talk to our sales department to get them added to your license(s) individually.
