Can somebody post their my.cnf from Mysql (Linux OS)? I am looking for someone running a large database with heavy updates/inserts from Transactional groups. We are running 130 groups around 5000 to 6000 items with multiple table inserts a second or less and 6000 to 7000 SQL tags mostly writing to ALERT\_LOG at 1 sec update. Our innodb length = 5G. The innodb parameters and data/log files are confusing and I would like to compare. Also Mysql recommends in Linux to turn off the disk write-back cache. Has anyone done this? Has anyone had good success taking load off the disk?
