Hey guys,

With the new 7.8 reporting, is there a way to gain access to the underlying report datasets? On the old report viewer I could have a button on the report page that would export the dataset to excel or something like that but it seems like those datasets are now hidden except to the report viewer itself. Is there a way to query the data in the data sources? Maybe return the data as a py-list of datasets?

Hello,

Did you get any clue about how to solve this ? I would like to do exactly the same thing (accessing to the underlying datasets, which where previously available in 7.7 versions)

Unfortunately, there’s currently no way to duplicate the data out of a report. If it’s an important feature, I would suggest posting it to [ideas.inductiveautomation.com](http://ideas.inductiveautomation.com) so the developers can see it and rate its priority (and consider its feasibility).
