# OPC Item tag sensitivity

Is there a way to disable opc item path tag’s case sensitivity in Ignition ?

No, OPC Item Paths correspond to NodeIds in an OPC UA server, and NodeIds are case-sensitive by spec.

It’s possible for a server to treat them in an insensitive manner but that’s entirely up to the server and there’s nothing an OPC UA client can do to make that happen.

Our OPC UA server does not have any ability to treat NodeIds in a case-insensitive manner.
