# Open Image in image holder from file

Hi,

I am looking to open and save .jpg to the database from Ignition.

I would like to find out if its possible to open an image in the client that is located on the client drive and then save it as a blob in the DB.

The first issue is how do I open the file in the image container in ignition ?
