# Parent Project Not Propagating to Child

I have a core project setup with my DB interface and its associated scripting/methods. A few projects inherit this. Typically, when I make a change in my parent, it'll reach the child with no problem. Every now and then. it refuses to acknowledge the change. Even the script console doesn't see the new methods I add my script, nor do my child projects. Adding explicit logger calls in code don't show in my gateway. Restarting the gateway fixes it, but saving, updating, and opening/closing the projects do not. Has anyone run into this issue or found a fix?

Are you using explicit `import` calls of your project library script(s) anywhere, or relying on the automatic import (you should be relying on the automatic import, to be clear). What version of Ignition is this?

This is on 8.3.6, and yes, I am relying on automatic import. I havnt had the issue happen since i posted this.

Did you find the issue?  
For information, i have the same problem on 8.3.8

Update: It seems that when you duplicate the parent project and then setup the link with the parent project on the duplicate one. That this is working.  
I only get the issue when the child is a new project.  
@paul-griffith maybe something to take in account for a future release.  
Update2: When doing the procedure above, in the newly created child project are all the ressource set as override. when discard override i have the same behavior has when a newly created project.

Sorry, I'm not following. Would you be able to send in the sequence of steps you're following (and the observed issue(s)) in to support? I'm about to go on vacation.
