# Passing a Window Component Value to a Vision Template Custom Property and/or Parameter

> I have a vision template that's actually in a template repeater in a Main Window. I need to pass a value to the template from a component from another window; directly to the template. This passed value will be the same for all templates in the template repeater.

Use the dataset mode for the template repeater and programmatically generate it with that parameter name as a column.
